Sopris Home Care provides compassionate home-care services in the greater Roaring Fork community.

As a Licensed Provider in the State of Colorado, our goal is to better our clients’ care at home, increase their quality of life, and to enhance their communication with their providers as requested. Many families are with the day to day challenges of providing their loved ones with the care they need. This is where we Sopris Home Care comes in to assist in providing a better continuity of care.

Amber DeLuca, the owner of Sopris Home Care, grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and has long held a strong desire to ensure the care and well-being of the Valley’s residents. Her background includes graduating early from Aspen High School, before joining the United States Navy, where she became a Hospital Corpsman. After Boot Camp and Corps School, she served in Rota, Spain at the Hospital in Pediatrics, Family Practice and Internal Medicine, as well as an EMT in the Emergency Room and on the Ambulance crew. After being transferred to Camp Pendleton, CA to train with the Marine Corps as a Field Medical Corpsman, she went on to serve in a tour in Fallujah, Iraq with the Marines. After 5 years of service, she was honorably discharged and went back to school at CU Boulder. In her time at the University, she worked at the Boulder Community Hospital Urgent Care Center and Laboratory.

She returned home to Aspen and worked as Dr. Ann Mass’s Medical Assistant for 3 years where she was able to grow and learn so much about the health issues in the Roaring Fork Valley. At that time, in 2006, she began providing private home health care services, from which a passion grew. By starting and managing a Private Duty Home Care operation, Amber was able to experience a different side of health care that served to increase her desire to follow the legal need for appropriate care.

At Sopris Home Care, we strive to build a compassionate agency that is locally owned and operated to assist with the care in this valley that many of us call home. Our main desire is to provide services to clients to better their quality of life and remain in their homes or living facilities which they choose, and to have the opportunity to work together with providers and clients to get the best care possible.

We have agency-trained, compassionate and experienced caregivers available 4-24 hours a day to serve our clients’ needs for assistance with recovery from illness, injury, or declining conditions due to aging or disease.
